Church Hostess

Position Summary:
Oversees and coordinates all church food service operations, ensuring well-organized, welcoming, and compliant kitchen and dining services—especially for weddings, receptions, funerals, fellowships, and special events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and supervise meal preparation for church events and fellowship gatherings

  • Purchase and manage food, supplies, and kitchen equipment

  • Provide guidance for weddings, receptions, and related events in accordance with church policies

  • Be present (or ensure representation) at events using kitchen or dining facilities

  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer food service workers

  • Maintain inventory and oversee equipment maintenance and repairs

  • Coordinate room and table arrangements with custodial staff

  • Manage budget recommendations and maintain accurate financial records

  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and compliance with health regulations

  • Perform additional duties as assigned
