Church Sound Technician
Position Summary:
Provides high-quality sound reinforcement to support worship services, helping create an atmosphere that aligns with the pastor’s and worship leader’s vision while delivering distraction-free, excellent audio.
Qualifications:

Heart for worship and active involvement in the church (member or regular attendee)

Team-oriented with strong communication skills

Experience in live audio mixing or willingness to be trained

Ability to troubleshoot and respond calmly under pressure

Committed to ongoing training, planning meetings, and small group participation
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Service:

Set up stage and audio equipment
-
Conduct line checks and sound checks (gain, monitors, EQ, mix)

Coordinate with pastor and worship leader on service flow
During Service:

Mix and adjust audio levels as needed

Follow service cues and worship leader direction

Record the service
-
Maintain a distraction-free audio environment
Post-Service:
-
Return media and clear stage
-
Identify and report faulty equipment
-
Gather feedback from musicians regarding sound quality
