Church Treasurer
Role: Responsible for receiving, disbursing, accounting for, and safeguarding church funds in accordance with established policies, focusing on records and financial procedures rather than handling cash directly.
Key Duties:

Develop and recommend financial policies with the finance/stewardship committee.

Maintain records of funds received and dispersed; oversee counting, depositing, and verification.

Track contributions and prepare donor statements.

Reconcile bank statements, sign checks with proper documentation, and ensure financial controls.

Provide monthly and annual financial reports to the church and committee.

Train an associate treasurer as needed.
