Pastor/Senior Pastor

Role: Spiritual leader of the church, responsible to God and the congregation to preach, teach, provide pastoral care, and oversee staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead worship services, preach sermons, and oversee ordinances.
Guide evangelism and community care programs.
Visit members and prospects; provide counseling; officiate weddings and funerals.
Plan, organize, and evaluate church programs with the Church Council.
Collaborate with local associations, state conventions, and civic matters.
Serve as moderator of business meetings (if not delegated).
Support deacons, officers, and committees in fulfilling their duties.
Supervise paid and volunteer staff, including ministry directors.
