Sunday School Teacher
Reports To: Superintendent / Pastor / Children’s Ministry Director
Ministry Area: Christian Education
Status: Volunteer / Part-Time / Full-Time
Purpose: Teach and disciple children, youth, or adults in the Word of God, fostering faith, biblical knowledge, and Christ-like character.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and teach weekly Bible lessons using approved curriculum.

Create a safe, welcoming, Christ-centered classroom.

Encourage prayer, Scripture memorization, and worship.

Communicate with parents/guardians and collaborate with other teachers.

Maintain classroom order and follow child safety protocols.

Participate in teacher training, planning meetings, and church-wide student events.
Qualifications:

Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to biblical principles.

Agreement with church doctrine.

Passion for teaching and discipling others.

Dependable, organized, and spiritually mature.

Background check and child safety training for minors.
Spiritual Expectations:

Active in worship and church life.

Committed to prayer and personal growth.

Model Christ-like behavior in and out of class.
Time Commitment:

2–3 hours weekly lesson prep, 1–2 hours teaching, plus occasional meetings or training.
